I was forced to take the day off because my boss wants me to clear my last year's off days.
And when I do that ... my colleagues flood me with text messages ... about how they cannot cope with work without me and that they have to leave some work on my desk.
Which means ... I have extra reports to do when I get back to the office on Monday. Then what is the freaking point of me taking the day off to rest?
I can't even relax today because I keep thinking about the work on my desk and how I am going to clear it on Monday!
I should have just said no ... but I couldn't ... she said please :(

In the military, you're on duty 24/7. You get breaks called 'Leave (a.k.a. Vacation)' and 'Liberty (a.k.a. Weekends, Holidays, and Granted Time-Off up to 24 hours).
I found myself at times working from 7:30 a.m. until 2 a.m. or later, just because I knew or felt my reputation was ALWAYS on the line and
I was In-Charge so I was responsible for everything that happened or failed to happen in my area of responsibility.
I often found it challenging to trust some of my staff to do their work correctly and thoroughly as professionals since some did not have the same work ethic as I did.
I lived this way for 24 years.
My bosses would force me to take time off saying that the work isn't going anywhere and will be there for me when I return even though it may be more, but that not everything had the same Due-Date to be completed so just prioritize.
However, while at home, I would get calls to log into the system from home in order to fix something or do something that apparently only I could do even though I worked very hard to ensure I was not the only one that could do what I did, but as I said, some of my staff fell short of my expectations.
I didn't beat it until a wrong, I felt, had been done to me regardless of my long career. I spent the last year of my career with the attitude of 'Fuck It, send me home, I want to retire NOW!'. I was done! However, I was forced to remain for 9 more months.
I suppose that's why I am doing so well at RETIREMENT! LMAO!!!
You can beat this Cubby! It won't always be easy, but you have to force yourself to enjoy some downtime.

I broke a mirror ... early in the morning today. What an inauspicious start! I was really upset about it. Not only was I late for work because I had clear the mess, I also cut my finger while cleaning.
Thank god the rest of the day was good. Actually the day went surprising well ... and it even was a Monday ...
That represents a reminder that by trying to pick up the broken pieces of anything (ex-relationships, other people's hearts, etc. etc.) one runs the risk of damaging oneself in the process. What are you willing to bleed for? Who are you willing to bleed for?
Sometimes, work is a much-needed escape from what's going on in our personal lives.
If one is not happy at home or at work....That's harsh.
But, I'm not worried about you. You'll find a nice little food place that would make it all better. Even if for a little while. ^_^

I know I shouldn't be petty ... but honestly .... it annoys me. Urgh!
I saw the same kismet being used and mistakenly assumed that it was a second profile of yours before clicking onto the profile, so yeah, I understand the frustration.
It is such a trivial matter ... but I just that can't help it ... lol ... silly me.
I always try to do something different ... whether it is my kismet, journals and profile. Different from others ... something to showcase my individuality. And things like bug me ... I must learn to ignore ...
Now for me I just pay attention to those that I chat with on a regular basis. I can honestly say none of ours come close to being the same. The other profiles just really don't matter that much do they :-)
It irks me too, and I've had a lot of people copy my words around here. Someone even went so far as to copy my profile, word for word in some places. It's just... It makes you not feel totally comfortable with posting anything because someone will eventual stumble upon something you said and take it for their own. The lack of creativity and originality around here is truly heartbreaking. You'd think, of all places, that wouldn't be such a problem as so many members are self proclaimed artists.

Every morning I wake up to my pillow covers on the floor ... taken off from my pillows. What exactly am I doing in my sleep?
What is a Pillowcase? It is a removable cloth cover for a pillow.
What is a Pillow? It is any material used to support the head when lying down.
Why do we use Pillowcases? To keep your pillows clean, block out allergens and to keep your face and hair from whatever is being used as a pillow.
So, in other words, Pillowcases represent "Protection" as well as the option and capability to "Remove" that protection and live on the wild side. No fear of getting a little dirty. Roughing it.
Therefore, you may be subconsciously feeling the desire to "REMOVE" a type of Protection from your life desiring more so to get closer with something you feel may seem "Less" in some way, but can still provide you with support contributing to Serenity and Happiness.
For example, one may see Cultural Beliefs, Traditions and Expected Behaviours as a sort of "Protection" of one's identity and cultural etiquette while preventing you from "Getting Close" to what may potentially be the unlikely source of your Well-Being, Serenity
Another example is let's say you bucked tradition and relocated to the USA to chill with Bandit and me. Tradition, Family Expectations, Home, Family, Friends, etc, etc would represent a type of "Protection" the pillowcases. Bandit and I represent the "Pillow".

So one of my guy friends ... talks to me about the girl he has been flirting with ... without worrying that I might tell his girlfriend.

Sometimes I cannot help but wonder how and why some people on here can openly talk about the past ... their problems ... their feelings. Putting everything out in the open and allowing people to know so much details about you.
Maybe it helps them cope with issues ... writing it down maybe is a way to lighten the load.
That is something I will never be able to do. Revealing personal things about me ... is almost like revealing my weakness to the enemy. I don't know whether it is good thing or not ...
Whether it is writing on journals ... or talking to friends ... or even family ... I usually keep things aloof.
They may not have anyone to talk to about it maybe. But then, join a group with other people with those issues. To me on here, looking for sympathy maybe. But it for sure opens the door for drama in their future here.
If it just a way of venting ... I think it is alright. But it shouldnt be a way getting help. People here ... including myself are not professional counsellors. We might say the wrong thing and make something worst.

So I went to see the doctor ... got my x-ray ... there were no issues with the bone. Just some inflammation around the knee.
The pain medications weren't really much help so the doctor decided to give me an injection ... on my butt ... so forget the knee pain. I couldn't feel my right butt cheek for half a day!
Finally I got home ... rested well ... and when I went to shower I found the doctor put a cute band-aid on my butt.
Today has been a weird day.
I did take the advice and put some ice on my knee. The swelling has definitely gone down. Thanks everyone. Muaks!

I hurt my knee real bad ... suffering from this throbbing pain all day long. I hope it isn't anything serious. Currently I am on pain medication and wearing a knee guard. If the pain doesn't go away I might need to get my x-rays done.
What horrible timing. I have on going projects and cannot afford to put them on hold.
If the it was that bad i think you should go and do the x ray

Do you want to know what kind of workaholic I am? Every year I am entitled to 21 days of leave. I have 18 days of leave brought over from last year and I haven't started on the 21 days of leaves of this year.
My boss is forcing me to clear my days. So now I am about to look for a short trip to a neighboring country. And of cos I can't go alone. I am bringing the pack. Everyone is so excited ... except me. I can't stop thinking about work.
